TOYOTA UNVEILS THE ALL-NEW C-HR+ ELECTRIC SUV

Toyota has announced the introduction of the Toyota C-HR+, a new battery electric vehicle (BEV) aimed at the competitive C-SUV market in Europe. This model features a design characterized by coupe lines and aims to provide a fun driving experience while ensuring spaciousness and practicality, which are essential for vehicles in this category. The C-HR+ is based on the Compact SUV concept presented by Toyota in 2022 and seeks to build on the success of the original C-HR, which has recorded over a million sales in Europe across two generations.

The C-HR+ is expected to launch in selected European markets by late 2025, with a wider rollout planned for 2026. It will complement other models in Toyota's lineup, including the Urban Cruiser and bZ4X, offering a diverse range of products within the B, C, and D-SUV BEV segments. The vehicle will be available with two battery options and both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, aligning with Toyota's strategy to provide varied choices for customers while contributing to reduced vehicle emissions.

Distinct from the original C-HR, the C-HR+ is designed on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform, featuring a unique body and interior. The exterior design includes a modern aesthetic with a wide stance and exclusive front and rear styling elements. The vehicle’s silhouette is designed for aerodynamic efficiency while maintaining adequate headroom for rear passengers.

Inside, the C-HR+ offers a spacious environment, with a length of 4,520 mm and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, providing ample headroom and a generous load space of 416 liters. The interior is equipped with features that cater to both the driver and passengers, including wireless smartphone chargers and rear cabin controls.

Regarding performance, the C-HR+ will offer two battery options: a 57.7 kWh unit for front-wheel drive models and a 77 kWh battery for both front and all-wheel drive variants. The expected maximum range is up to 600 kilometers, subject to homologation. The all-wheel drive version is projected to deliver a power output of 343 DIN hp, allowing for a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.2 seconds.

The driving experience is enhanced by a dedicated BEV platform that provides improved stability and agility. The vehicle also features advanced safety technologies, including Toyota T-Mate systems, which encompass various active safety and driver assistance features.

A 14-inch multimedia display will be standard across all models, facilitating connectivity and navigation with an EV routing function. The MyToyota app will enable owners to monitor key vehicle aspects, including charging status and driving range.

Toyota emphasizes the reliability and quality of the C-HR+, offering a Battery Care Program that covers the battery for up to 10 years or one million kilometers, contingent on an annual health check. This initiative aims to provide peace of mind for customers, particularly those new to battery electric vehicles.
